wooden frames there are only minor differences. Because vinyl window
frames are moisture resistance, they do not rot, nor do they require
painting. Some manufacturers do offer laminated surface treatments that
can be painted or stained. Major advances have been made to prevent

Insulated Vinyl:
Insulated vinyl window frames have the same characteristics as standard
vinyl window frames. They are versatile, almost maintenance free,
moisture resistant, and do not require painting. The main difference
between insulated and standard vinyl frames is there enhanced thermal
performance. Insulation has been placed into the inside of the hollow
cavities of the frames making them thermally better to standard
vinyl or wooden window frames.
